This is among rook's strongest solo work to date. Terrifying, intense, full of real and painful emotion. But it can also be gentle, and comforting, because you're not alone in these feelings.
Like screaming a diss track into the faces of emotionally abusive assholes and jerks fcking up the world, to the tune of hypnosis tape static, but it's ok because you've got somebody you care about by your side. In other words, perfection.
The audio equivalent of getting a loving, caring hug after a long cry and then going peacefully to bed,
knowing that you'll be better tomorrow. A short, yet beautifully fulfilling album.
