Blues has always been a genre for musicians' (as well as listeners') to unleash their demons, and Ivan's debut album makes no exception. Instead, it goes even deeper on this path, singing of crushing bones, old age lurking, sleepless nights, the needless endeavours to suppress recurring nightmares, the quest for (a) God and more... Deliberately raw, it's unrefined as the macabre and bizarre are, spotted with bleeding irony, climaxing in the choir cheerfully singing the true-to-life title track.
