Only the Spineless Survive Only the Spineless Survive
Revocation represents everything that has gone in Death Metal for the last 20 years. Great musicianship, progression and heavyness.

    featured track 00:00/00:00
    Nihil Nihil
Probably one of the most epic and majestic black metal albums ever made. Takes you places...
  3. The Xun Protectorate
    by Khonsu
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    The Observatory The Observatory
This is easily a 10/10 for me. Encapsulates everything I love about the 2nd wave of Norwegian black metal and mixes it with an irresistible futuristic industrial wave for a very original and yet accesible experience. Fans of Arcturus, Solefald and even Dimmu Borgir, take notice.
  4. Nightmare Logic
    by Power Trip
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Executioner's Tax Executioner's Tax
I like my thrash brutal, relentless and serious as a heart condition. Power Trip has to be the best band I've listened in this genre for a loong time. Headbanging bliss!! If you are like me and can't have enough Exodus in your life, grab this inmediately.
  5. Manifest Decimation
    by Power Trip
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Crossbreaker Crossbreaker
No frills, no jokes, no affectations. Just straight-to-the-gut, hammering, angry thrash for your headbanging needs. "But what I know about is Texas, an' down here... you're on your own".
  6. Meta
    by Thy Catafalque
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Malmok járnak Malmok járnak
A great listen from start to finish! Never gets boring. This is experimental metal a la Ihsahn, mixing black metal with folk, electronica and even doomish Black Sabbath riffery.
  7. Sorni Nai
    by Kauan
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    akva akva
For a concept album about the Dyatlov Pass Incident, this is pretty uplifting and beautiful. Goes seamlessly heavy to mellow, melancholic to exhilarating. Recommended.

Death, Endless Nothing and the Black Knife of Nihilism Death, Endless Nothing and the Black Knife of Nihilism
Bands that try to imitate/recapture early 90s Morbid Angel and Incantation are a dime a dozen these days. While some of them succeed in a broad manner, very few of them really capture the savage chaos and sense of impending apocalypse that made, for example, 'Altars of Madness' such a classic. For me, Adversarial a one of the chosen. The riffs are brutal yet intensely melodic, the eerie harmonies and undead growls mix in a beautiful tornado of metal that feels like the soundtrack of armaggeddon.
  9. On Strange Loops
    by Mithras
    featured track 00:00/00:00
Between Scylla And Charybdis Between Scylla And Charybdis
Mithras is back, baby! I've been following them since the early 2000s. Death metal full of atmosphere, virtuosity and a mystic, cosmic vibe. After oh so few releases they deliver this beast of an album.
  10. Traveller
    by Khonsu
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Ix Ix
Lots of samples from the movie Dune, IX is an amazing song. I enjoyed the Björk cover, although it sounds quite different from the original.
