They don't exactly reinvent the wheel but they keep it turning. Certainly amazing power metal in the vein of Blind Guardian and Rhapsody. Cool guitar work and great vocals. And maybe that's just me but somehow I'm also getting Mercyful Fate and King Diamond vibes.

Well the cover art is not the best thing about this album, and that's saying a lot.
Classic 70s psychedelic hard rock/heavy metal sound that would allow comparisons to bands like Cream, Blue Cheer, Uriah Heep and Blue Öyster Cult. One of the better, if not the best albums I've heard in this genre, that wasn't actually released around that time.
It's also certainly no small feat to achieve such an authentic retro sound without simultaneously making you feel like you have heard this one before.

Really great heavy metal with a bit of early Helloween'esque power metal and USPM thrown in there. The singer also sounds a bit like Michael Kiske and Geoff Tate although with less ear piercing 5th octave notes, but still amazing nonetheless. The same can be said about the instruments. The songs are catchy but not cheesy, nor are they overly simple. Definitely a band I will keep an eye on in the future.

You had me at Ian Anderson'esque flute playing, some prog combined with powerful female vocals and a heavy sound. Basically the answer to the question what it would sound like if Mk. I lineup Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, UFO and some other late 60s/70s bands had a baby. The superb vocals and flute playing really make Wucan stand out.

Awesome power metal with interesting lyrics based on history.
It reminds me a lot of traditional german power metal, especially Blind Guardian, which is probably partly because of the vocalist who sounds a lot like Hansi Kürsch.
It really stands out in all the "Play a generic riff/chord progression/solo as fast as you can, sing about a generic fantasy story and call it a day" type of power metal bands.

One of the more interesting pieces of music I've purchased in my lifetime. Some incredible 70s style prog with modern influences, amazing songwriting and great delivery. The vocals are bit monotonous and could be a a lot more powerful for my taste, but they still go well with the music. Overall definitely worth a look for everyone who even remotely likes this genre.

Take Heathen, Anthrax a bit of early Metallica as well as some traditional heavy and power metal throw it all in a blender and the you'd probably get something similar to this. Except that they still manage to bring their own flavor to the table. The vocalist sounding like Joey Belladonna fused with Klaus Meine and Ronnie James Dio certainly doesn't hurt either. Left to the Sharks has quickly become one of my favorite thrash metal albums of all time.

An amazing record that just screams NWOBHM. Awesome guitars and a talented vocalist whose high pitched screams would probably make Rob Halford and King Diamond jealous, not to mention that it is very well produced and mixed. This quickly became one of my favorite albums of the 2010s and I have no idea how this band is not better known.
