In The Bleak Midwinter In The Bleak Midwinter
This music seems to still all that is chaotic or troubling. In it's place there is music that connects with a heart we had a children and carry through life. It's a reminder that our hearts transcend what our heads take in. Julianne's voice has never been more beautiful and Tim's sonic layers are like the sky above the water. This is music that can make you feel loved when you are alone. Listening feels like a gift being given. Thank You.

Lament for Loughlinisland Lament for Loughlinisland
A wonderful album of deeply atmospheric melodic instrumental music. The scope is varied but the sense of a scene (internal and external) being conjured is a constant. Damian is known for his presence in The Undertones and That Petrol Emotion but for those who recall his album (on Alan Mcgee's post Creation label Poptones) A Quiet Revolution, this is in that vein.

The Earth Loves You Back The Earth Loves You Back
I purchased this because I love the music of Tara Jane O' the time her song came, I forgot that was why I was here. So much beauty, many songs are the sort where you stop all else to devote all the senses to the sound. The cover art is excellent as well. A new label to love.

Maid O' The Loch Maid O' The Loch
An album of intimate beauty from John of The Trashcan Sinatras. It's the sort of album that works a special kind of magic: upon listening, it seems that lights dim and we are drinking wine sometime after dark and before light. These songs feel like communion with a part of the listener that the world might not always welcome.....the quiet, reflective part. It's gorgeous. Thank you John.

  20. Conditional (Moog) FOR ANIMAL SHELTERS
    by Colleen
A beautiful, entrancing piece of music. I've felt peace, comfort & a sense of vivid trance in Colleen's music for years. This song does that special trick where it connects with something sad, comforts the feeling & lifts it. Also, I (and my rescue dog) love that proceeds go to an animal shelter.
