    by Chicha Dust
    featured track 00:00/00:00
Como un Ave Como un Ave
While I have been a fan of Chicha Libre for a while now, I have only recently found Chicha Dust.

Fronted by the magnificent Brian Lopez, Chicha Dust is frenetic. Tucson should consider itself extremely lucky to be the home of Lopez, Howe Gelb, Calexico, & more.

This album is Live but a full length studio record is rumored to be on its way. Buy this and Brian Lopez's entire catalog. You won't regret it.
  4. Piano. Bedroom. Florida.
    by Love of Everything
    featured track 00:00/00:00
Total Eclipse Of The Heart Total Eclipse Of The Heart
  5. Old Friends
    by Busman's Holiday
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Ode to Sophia Ode to Sophia
Joyful Noise recently announced a new album from these two.. Excited to hear the new work and decided to buy the old work.

    Keep it up!
  6. "Vampire Fish For Two!"
by Doctor Gasp and the Eeks
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Anything by Dan Blakeslee, Dr. Gasp's mysterious alter ego, is worth collecting, especially the halloween themed limited editions.

Blakeslee's original cover-artwork deserves a frame & prime wall space.

We're still listening to the album on repeat - more will be written once the Vampire Fish for Two is fully digested.
  7. Hearts For Boston
    by Kitchen Sessions
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Your Spanish Scarf (live at Kitchen Sessions) Your Spanish Scarf (live at Kitchen Sessions)
This is an album by some of the most amazing and altruistic people/musicians in New England benefiting the family of an eight-year-old killed in the Boston Marathon bombing.

Thank you, to the artists featured on this collection, as well as the group behind its production, for your charitable work.

You have bolstered a community reeling during a moment of desolation & simultaneously redefined a populace known for its solitary toughness to one typified by compassion, friendship, & love.
  8. Fan Chosen Covers

In The Aeroplane Over the Sea In The Aeroplane Over the Sea

  9. Fan Chosen Covers 2
    by Eef Barzelay
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Every Time You Go Away Every Time You Go Away
This striking album is beautiful and raw.

Exactly like its partner release, Fan Chosen Covers 1, in format, the band emotionally tackles track after track of pop/metal/rock/folk songs transforming them into wonderful works of art.

I highly recommend listening to the Clem Snide discography next time you want a pop song stuck in your head...

These versions will impress you at a minimum & will most likely come to supplant the originals after an enjoyable listen or two.
  10. No Time To Be Tender
    by Ian Fitzgerald
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
The One On The Black Horse The One On The Black Horse
In a stroke of serendipity, I sat down next to Ian at a Dan Blakeslee / Vudu Sister show recently - and lucky I did too - Ian's music is more than amazing, it's folk heroic.

The One On The Black Horse is an epic (Think Josh Ritter's Another New World).

    Simply phenomenal.
  11. Empty Like The Lion Den
    by Ian Fitzgerald
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Lillian Lillian
The familiarity of Ian Fitzgerald's sound is astounding.

If you love pure singer/songwriter, sitting around the hearth, folk perfection, you'll love these albums.

    Buy them!
