The short section of reviewing an album on Bandcamp is clearly not enough to describe this album by one of my favorite bands in this genre. When I saw they re-released this on a purple vinyl - I had to get it. It matches the craziness of the audio. Its exactly what I like my music to sound like. Its WILD, its insane, its twisted. Its not something you show somebody who never heard something similar to it. I like their new one too, but this has nested itself into my heart the day it came out.
  4. Unisolmuirvistys
    by Kuvotus & Tunkio
Is there such a thing/genre as DISGUST? If not, then you have witnessed the birth of it throughout this album, done by this...group. It is straight up disgusting. The brutal genres are being constantly developed and experimented with. This record was a gift - and I'm glad I got it because it's something I'm proud to have in my collection - even though its a cesspool of disgust and nastiness.
  5. Infinite Death
    by Thy Art Is Murder
    Infinite Death Infinite Death
The sickest, most twisted record by Thy Art Is Murder - their debut surprisingly. I still love the newer material but sadly I've come to the conclusion that they can't top this. It is truly insane chaotic brilliancy in an album with the most brutal vocals and breakdowns and lets not mention the lyrics. MAD. Love it.

    Scattered Sprites Scattered Sprites
I am...feeling dizzy. Is that okay with such bands? I wanna escape my own skin, run to the ceiling, jump out the window just to feel the fresh coldness of the air. I have also stopped feeling hunger for new things. I am satisfied, also lost, also running from someone I don't even know. My skin is bleeding noise!! WHAT IS HAPPENING? ;)
  7. WOECHANTER
    by Woechanter
The reason I like this record is because I categorize it into those ones whom I prefer to listen when the weather is gloomy - to match the atmosphere of the album itself. It's dark, it's heavy. There's not much left to say. Nice weather outside? Skip it. It'll ruin your day(in a good way) ;)
  8. Hof
    by Misþyrming
Why do I love this track? First off this split with Sinmara is one of, if not THE best work from both bands of Icelandic Black Metal destruction. Not a classic, boring sound you got used to - but a fresh, incredibly groovy intro with demonic Icelandic-type of vocals, a lot of atmosphere, tons of various fresh riffs and amazing drumming. This is something else. Threat with absolute caution.
  9. Cosmic Progression: An Agonizing Journey Through Oddities Of Space
    by Deconstructing Sequence
Memories Of The Sun, Memories Of The Earth Memories Of The Sun, Memories Of The Earth
    Deconstructing Sequence
are one of those interesting newcoming formations based out of the UK, later Poland who lean to the more progressive side of music, creating an interesting Black/Death-ish mix, with tons of atmosphere, mostly focusing on the shape of the guitar's sound. This duo came out with two EP's previously and this is their first full length in 2018, with 54 minutes of music aka 9 tracks of an actual "cosmic journey".
  10. Reign Supreme (Deluxe Edition)
    by Dying Fetus
Subjected To A Beating Subjected To A Beating
One of my favorite newer Dying Fetus releases. I managed to get this album on a reissue black vinyl on Brutal Assault 22, glad I got this cool code to download the album. The album is aggressive, sick, twisted, mind-bending Technical and really sharp Brutal Death Metal. Perfect. 10/10
  11. Epitaph
    by Necrophagist
Diminished To B Diminished To B
What's to say about the most influential technical death metal record of the first decade of the 21'st century? No need to say anything, just enjoy the incredible musicianship, the amazing vocals, incredibly fast riffs...and stop complaining about the new album. Epitaph shall remain in our memories as their best work, ever.
  12. Crescendo Dezign
    by Theory In Practice
    Abstract Entities Abstract Entities
Jeez. After 2 years Theory In Practice returns with a new EP entitled Crescendo Dezign, which is a follow up to their latest, 2015. single Evolving Transhumanism, which took the band 12 years to get released. Back to the EP, this material, even though if its short, is phenomenal. The deep and heavy guitar tone, the strange, yet brutal vocals, the bass lines, everything is perfect. The band will definitely keep your attention along the whole EP, if you like pretty brutal TECHNICAL stuff, giveitago
  13. Martyr Creation
    by GUTTED
Cosmos of Humans Cosmos of Humans
The Hungarian brutal, yet technical death metal horde returns with their new full length album entitled Martyr Creation! Its the first full length in 6 years, and the latest material since 2013, when their Path Of A New Era got released. Phenomenal band, glad they signed with Xtreem Music. They absolutely deserve all the credit and support they get.
  14. Not For Music
    by Emptiness
    Meat Heart Meat Heart
I have to admit, and I'll be brutally honest, I have never-ever heard of this band before, but the day I heard it first, and since then, I am in LOVE with their melancholic, dark, yet atmospheric sound. So deep and full of brutal atmospheres. This record will take you on a journey and time will definitely stop ticking. The brutal vocals, the overall sound, the Deathspell Omega like sound. GLORIOUS. Buy this album!!!!
  15. Heartache
    by WVRM
    Death Erection Death Erection
Also a pleasant surprise when I found out this band in December of 2016. I like grindcore, but it usually is pretty boring and monotone, but not in the sound of WVRM. This band is something this genre never experienced before. Combining fast and SLOW speed in their sound, fast blast beats, yet a slow sludgy atmosphere. INCREDIBLE. I made my list already when this album came out, but I absolutely regret it now. Fantastic album, one of the best of 2016 in its genre.
  16. Red Hill
    by Samskaras
Samskaras is an interesting Canadian, Montreal based band with a sweet progressive and technical mix in their sound. They are brutal, and sometimes not so brutal at the same time. The band consists of Eric Burnet from Derelict, and Alexandre Dupras from Teramobil and Unhuman. Incredible band. Keep in mind that they have new material out, an EP entitled Asunder, which came out a few days ago. Incredible band. What comes out of Canada, cannot be bad.
  17. From It Pours What Some Call Emptiness
    by Antipsychocircumseptemsomambulation
X: The Fire He Kept For Himself X: The Fire He Kept For Himself
This is a weird, math, and grindcore based band, love the long name, and the names of the tracks. Bizarre, drone, noisy, grindcore-ish from time to time, some songs even contain speeches, which makes the whole thing more enjoyable. I love this band, their sound might not be commercial ready, but its awesome.
  18. По направлению к Солнцу, плавящему изнутри кости
    by Leprous Vortex Sun
    IV. Абсурд IV. Абсурд
Also a late 2016 release from the Belarus based band Leprous Vortex Sun, with their new and debut album entitled По направлению к Солнцу, плавящему изнутри кости, which means Towards the sun, melting the bones inside. An interesting, abstract and avant-garde like sounding black metal band, whom I definitely need and want to hear more from in the future. Those lyrical themes are swift and brutal, but I love them.
  19. Frequencies EP (2014 FREE download)
    by De Profundis
A Strange Awakening A Strange Awakening
No need to introduce De Profundis, but if you're unfamiliar with them, they are a progressive-black/death metal sounding band from London, the UK. Fretless bass, brutal sound, monstrous vocals. What else do you need? Keep an eye out on their latest material too! It's awesome.
  20. I
    by Plini / Sithu Aye
    Rupture Rupture
Plini is a true artist when it comes to music. His releases are original and beautiful. He is something the progressive metal scene definitely needs to hear. Sometimes djent-y, sometimes progressive, and of course instrumental metal at it's fucking best. Love this dude. Reminds a lot of Animals As Leaders, but in a creative and original way. \m/
