A wonderful collection of amazing songs. Karl Blau continues the light Americana sound of his 2016 album "Introducing Karl Blau". The perfect sound for spring, somewhere between Lambchop and early outlaw country heroes.
This compilation is full of rarities. Colin Blunstone's voice is as smooth as honey and fits perfectly with the guitar accompaniment. I am unsure if these demo recordings are even better than the "One Year" album.
This record was worth waiting for so long. It combines all the strengths of Joe Pernice which are to me first of all his great sense for (power) pop melodies and in addition to that his sensitive way of singing. At this time it's maybe the finest record of 2019.
