One Like You One Like You
OOOOOOHHHHHH YEEEESSS! A full length album that took years to make? The artist plays all the instruments at home? YES PLEASE. My ears are permanently and happily stuck in the years > 1968-1972. This is just sugar in my cup. Listen to Alastair... ...At Home!

    it's amusing, it's confusing it's amusing, it's confusing
I'm a permanent fan of everything Nik Westman creates. This is an unexpected rocker of an EP.
  10. Double Negative (single version)
    by E.W. Harris
E.W. Harris continues to experiment with all kinds of sonic technology. The drums on this song get me jumping.

Sea Area Forecast Sea Area Forecast
Niall is on my short list of favorite songwriters. He might be the most sincere performer I've ever seen as well. The soundtrack for the corner of my longing mind, resembling a tiny snowed-in house - replete with obligatory warm fire, cup of tea, and plenty of time to sleep - is always Niall.

Track 1, 'Aphelion' has me ready to roll in backside into a gnarly backyard pool from my Arizona skateboarding youth.

    Mountains Mountains
The song 'Mountains' reminds me of Minutemen right out of the gate.

    Teenage Sequencer Teenage Sequencer
Another great record from Pedro the Lion. I'm from Arizona, so these past 2 albums have be re-shaping my boyhood memories, attaching to locations like glue.
  17. et al.
    by Pat Hull
    going mad going mad
Have you never heard Pat sing? Why?

I'm really digging the harmonies on this album. I also really like how Pat has settled into the classical guitar as his (it seems) central harmonic instrument. It's tone just sits wonderfully amongst all else. It has a super duper amount of human touch. Willie Nelson eat your heart out. I wonder what Pat named his axe?
