This cover is every way as emotional as the original, which I would have never expected from a cover band. Great work! The whole album adds to any Marillion collection; totally recommended!
What Fleesh does by adapting this piece (IMHO one of the strongest from "Holidays in Eden") is adding a bit of pressure (especially to Hogarth's part). Which is all it takes to make this song soar!
Fleesh manages to stay true to the original character while adapting the details to their own version. Plus, the musicianship here is totally top notch. The whole album adds to any Marillion collection, totally recommended!
I don't think anybody will ever be able to top the emotional impact of the original, especially Rothery's solo. Anyhow, this is a totally appropriate attempt; I would never have thought before a cover of this epic piece may work out so well.
