The best new metal discovery of this year for me. Heavy, solemn, beautifully textured music that is perfect for solitary evenings and gets better each listen. I’ve enthusiastically told my metal listening friends to not miss this album.
This album has been such an unexpected but amazing surprise since stumbling onto it a few months ago. Radically weird, heavy, and funky King Gizzard comes at you like a band of mutated berserker highwaymen and pursues your expectations all the way to the end. It’s a total trip, and I want to take it again and again.
