  1. Echolocation
    by Mendoza Hoff Revels
The most fascinating track, "Interwhining", is not selectable from the the list above. The cuts on the album are all intricate in a way that is surprising even on a second listen. "Interwhining" is an interchange that forms a sound tapestry that is neither melodic nor dissonant but rather just right.
  2. Rivers In Our Veins
    by Allison Miller
I adore this new album, which one moment is swinging and the next moment contemplative. The listener can easily pick out all the individual players without any sense of tedious turn-taking, as the sound seems particularly crisp. The tap-dancing doesn't stand out; it just sounds like more percussion.

    Magdalena Magdalena
I find myself humming "Magdalena" at odd moments. The track is positive and uplifting without being corny or cliched. The entire album is cheerful. Quantic somehow mixes cumbia and soul to produce a satisfying result.

  14. THE SAINTS CECILIA (ST STANISLAUS, EAST CHICAGO) - Lulajze Jezuniu
    by Oasis Girls Home
The Polish lullaby "Lulajze Jezuniu" is a favorite, so I have a playlist consisting only of various versions of it. California Bach Society's is my favorite, but this one also satisfies.

The album is unpredictable, varied and surprisingly accessible given how off-kilter and occasionally noisy it is. As with the output of the very different Las Sucias, several of the tunes are downright catchy.
