I recently read an interview that brought my fascination with TAGABOW into focus. While discussing a recurring dream, Doug says "That feeling of absurdity, but knowledge of something that’s not told to you — I think that’s really what I’m just trying to capture in my work, that feeling of familiarity that is simultaneously alien."
TAGABOW makes me nostalgic for the things I'm not sure are real. It's shoegaze and breakcore, infused with MBV and Alex G, dripped through Lynchian coffee grounds.
