Eyes in the Sky Eyes in the Sky
Tarot recreates a bygone atmosphere...softly sounding Hammond organs, memorably timeless instrumental and vocal harmonies, of closing your eyes, lying down on some 70's carpeted floor, imagining landscapes of hawk cries, steeds adorned with ornate caparisons, mystic caverns, ethereal maidens beckoning you to distant woods and mountains, and secrets that nobody is to know...of adventure, mystery, and a certain 'easy-to-imagine, yet difficult-to-achieve' understated grandiosity.

If you haven’t heard GP yet, quit messing around and DO something with your life! I’m sorry. That was a bit strong. Especially considering how absolutely chill this record is to listen to...its like Moroder went even *further* into outer space, met up with a groovy tribe of zen aliens and decided to make just-lie-back-and-listen tunes together. But at least I got your attention with that opening line, and this music truly deserves yours — undivided and fully immersed. Dig it! 10/10

Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, and I'm gonna say Rare Bird and the even rarer Bachdenkel, are in good company with Tarot. Of that I'm absolutely certain.

I'm getting weirdly emotional even as I start to write this. I guess at it's core what I want to express is gratitude for Tarot's work, and support for them to continue at their craft. This music is mystery, wonder, adventure, comfort, timelessness and magic, rolled into one, and expressed in sonic/album art form. I hope to see them live on stage one day.
