  6. Flying Microtonal Banana
by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
    Nuclear Fusion Nuclear Fusion
The first in a trilogy of microtonal-focused albums, of which I believe Flying Microtonal Banana is the best. While the album's intro track, Rattlesnake, is a fan-favorite, I'm partial to some of the record's later tracks. In particular, I adore Billabong Valley, Doom City, and of course, Nuclear Fusion, whose incredibly effective use of split stereo drumming makes for a track that is incredibly difficult not to bob your head to.
  7. Polygondwanaland
by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
    Crumbling Castle Crumbling Castle
A masterful and varied orchestration by King Gizzard containing what is widely considered some of their best work, and for good reason. Crumbling Castle, Polygondwanaland (the song), Deserted Dunes, and Tetrachromacy are all standout tracks, offering brilliant instrumentation that keeps you hooked and wanting more for every second of the album's running time.
  8. The Silver Cord
by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
The Silver Cord - Extended Mix The Silver Cord - Extended Mix
The Silver Cord is an electronic album brimming with that particular strangeness you can only find in a King Gizzard album. While I admit that this entry may be too bizarre for some to "get", if you do, it's becomes a massive earworm that you'll catch yourself humming for weeks or months afterward.
  9. I'm In Your Mind Fuzz
by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
Slow Jam 1 Slow Jam 1
A classic album from the band's formative years, Mind Fuzz kicks it into high gear right away with a killer four-track psych rock suite that flows seamlessly together followed by a selection of one-offs that each offer unique sounds and lyrical themes. Mind Fuzz walked so Nonagon could run; absolutely excellent.
  10. PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation
by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
    Witchcraft Witchcraft
King Gizzard's second foray into the metal genre is nothing short of triumphant. It's a marked improvement over Infest the Rats' Nest that delivers some of the most epic, high-octane music that has ever come out of the band's expansive catalogue. There's quite a good chance that even if you don't consider yourself a metalhead, PetroDragonic Apocalypse will leave you wanting more.

  12. Nonagon Infinity
by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
    Gamma Knife Gamma Knife
The concept of a infinitely-looping album is interesting in and of itself, but what really makes it work is that every track comprising it is killer and radically from one another. Definitely one of my favorite albums of all-time.
