    There is a darkness on this record that just envelops me, but in a way that feels like a warm hug. This is one of but a few albums I can put on when I am in a dark place or feeling low and it makes me feel alive, content, and happy again. My absolute favourite album of 1998 and for me, an actual lifesaver.

    Albums like Sinner Get Ready come few and far between. This is an album of true heaviness. It is crushing in its orchestration, arrangements and voice. It has a weight to it that you get from the likes of Tori Amos or Nick Cave, whereby it feels as though that persons soul is coming through the speakers at you and with it all the pain that they have witnessed and or suffered. An absolute masterpiece from a much underrated artist.
