This past Monday, October 25, I lost my mother after her very long and agonizingl battle with ALS. Just a few minutes after her passing, I played this music in her hospital room, while I cried and cried. She fought so bravely until the very end, without complaint. I hope I can find even a fraction of the strength and courage she had. She passed away very peacefully.

My parents didn’t allow me to listen to popular music. When I started attending university and could listen to the radio in my car, The Dream Academy’s original version of this song was some of the first popular music I ever heard; so it’s very precious to me.
Yours is without a doubt the finest, most touching, magically simplistic cover, with just the right amount of everything that captures the true essence and message, in its quietly powerful way, of the original song.
