Albums like this don’t come around very often. Heathen’s lyrical and sonic weight grind along like a glacier. Though Thou’s lyrical themes are always pretty great, that especially shines through on heathen. Every song resonates with sentiment that both defies every terrible thing humanity has become and yearns for what it could be.
