I'm in love with this record and most especially We Both Want the Same and cursetheknife. It's pretty rare that a song gives me chills, let alone two on the same album.
I've been looking for a good heavy chiptune album/band for forever, but didn't think I'd find it in a Transformers theme. Destron has such an interesting and unique sound to it.
I'd be lying if I didn't say that High Spirits wasn't the main reason I picked up this E.P.. It really is just that good. That said, the rest of these songs are really great too, and you'd be missing out if you only got that one.
I've wanted this album on vinyl since the day it came out, but have been too broke to buy it until now. I love it. It's somehow even better than Everybody Works. The guitar and vocal parts are especially phenomenal.
This is a very fun E.P. that mashes a bunch of great post-hardcore influences into one. Any fans of Deftones or Balance & Composure would feel right at home listening to this.
