Don't Call Me Hero Don't Call Me Hero
Every time I hear this song I feel like walking out in the rain and shouting; "I've… seen things you people wouldn't believe… Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those… moments… will be lost in time, like [chokes up] tears… in… rain. Time… to die…"

Now I'm off to the run. So, if you'll excuse me...

Frequency Modulations is by far my go-to track in this album.

    Miami Nights Miami Nights
It's my hometown. And I find the lyrics quite honest to the true Miami night life. Except, I don't know what "trains" (maybe I'm just hearing wrong) is it that Trevor is talking about in the song. There is only one train in Miami, and it is a really poor excuse for one. No one uses that train. Well, almost no one.

I think Timecop1983 sold his soul to the Devil because everything he touches turns to gold.

Get out of my head, would you, pretty please?

    Intoxicating song, Tonight.

cities of the future (feat. Kriistal Ann) (original mix) cities of the future (feat. Kriistal Ann) (original mix)
    The remixes are refreshing.

In some instances the original song is unrecognizable, but for the most part, the original permeates quite faithfully.

I have to be honest, the lyrics are a bit weak -- they feel forced and pasted together-- but the vocals are very soothing.

To me, not a compilation I could listen over and over. As a matter of fact, the child-like quality of the words makes the song a bit hard to listen to.

All in all, a nice passing track for a night on the dance floor.

Tears In The Rain Tears In The Rain
Tears in the Rain, a homage to Blade Runner, really does a great job of conveying that feeling of desperation. It's fight or flight, but never standing still.

After many months of listening to the album, I can say that Tears in the Rain has climbed to
"favorite song" for this album in the "Yovy's favorite song" category of the "Yovy Synth Wave Music Awards."

    Huston, we got a winner.

    Enjoy!

Space Traveler (Feat. Pasha) Space Traveler (Feat. Pasha)
With a bit of an Italo vibe, this track is very contagious. You could find yourself playing this song over and over, continuously. So, be careful because people could say you are obsessive compulsive.

    Dataline Dataline
My all-time favorites turned out to be the bonus tracks. I love vocals, but nothing makes me travel farther than pure sound. Actually, I prefer no vocals, just like I prefer to read a book without pictures.

"Routine Stop" (bonus track) by Botnit is the most seducing song in the collection. Just that one song makes the whole compilation worthwhile.

Of course, as a whole, the collection is very enjoyable.

Neon Drive 84 Neon Drive 84
I have been craving this sound.

"Neon Drive 84" by Compilerbau is the crowning jewel of this mix tape. It brings memories of long night drives I actually never had.

The visuals are vivid and so palpable I can feel the humidity in the air of a subtropical night. Traveling across a very long, narrow and dark highway somewhere in Tomorrowland.

For those who like to travel, enjoy the trip.
