This feels like a beautiful bouquet of what makes Voyager so eclectic and amazing: their poppy Eurovision side, songs that feel ripped from the 80s, shredding guitar solos, proggy riffs, synths a plenty, brooding lyricism akin to some of my former favorite albums. Living these last few years alongside them, through a pandemic and the fully realized dream of Eurovision has been such a treasure. The only blemish here: the untimely song written about a submarine. 😬

This is such a different side of the band as compared to Meta. There's a lot of mysteriousness here to unravel. I'm loving the more easily decipherable "In Syzygy," and really scratching my head at "Odradek."

I've been listening to the post-rock genre for about a half dozen years now, yet I still can't figure out exactly what I like and how to seek out similar stuff. I can't figure out the commonality that elicits my sheer joy. But when something clicks, it clicks. Continuance clicks in the best possible way from start to finish!

Just as with past efforts, ever-changing math-y, syncopated riffs evolve through every track creating a myriad of blissfully infectious earworms. No one executes that design even remotely close to as well.

The true sign of a great album is in how quickly I add it to my devices. This album is on my computer, my phone, the iPod classic that I use in my car, and I'm currently trying to figure out if I can put it on my microwave.
