Container Verloren Und Gesunken Container Verloren Und Gesunken
The debut album of this amazing slow post-rock band. The albums is top-notch, if a little less refined than Halma's later works. Yet, not a weak track on this. A huge recommendation.

Epic post-rock of the highest caliber. From start to finish it's so good my favorite track changes with each listen. I really look forward to Distant Dream's future work!
  9. Blood of the Fall
    by Bedowyn
    00:00/00:00
    Cotards Blade Cotards Blade
The followup to the excellent (and short) Wolves & Trees debut. This time it's a full length 50 minutes affair, filled with powerful, crunchy heavy metal goodness. I'd prefer if the album wasn't so loud (with more dynamic range), but it's still a killer not to be missed!
  10. Wolves & Trees
    by Bedowyn
    00:00/00:00
Snarling Of Beasts Snarling Of Beasts
Bedowyn's debut album (or rather EP) is full of short but very sweet heavy doom/sludge. Not a weak song on this one.
  11. Absolution
    by Khemmis
    00:00/00:00
    Torn Asunder Torn Asunder
Khemmis is hands down one of the greatest metal bands of today; have yet to hear something as good and addictive in the heavy doom genre. Considering this is a debut album, it's even more amazing these guys got it a 100% right from the very start. Not a weak song on this one, and the followup "Hunted" is just as good (if not better).

Wonderful acoustic album. Acoustic stuff can be boring for me, but not this one; easy, relaxing, and quite beautiful.

Solitude Aeuturnus didn't put out a new album in a decade. Thankfully, there's Crypt Sermon! Seriously, when vocalist/bassist Brooks Wilson bellows out the first words, you'll immediately think of SA and Rob Lowe - and in a good way. Awesome band, great doom, fabulous metal!

Great death metal band, and this is coming from someone who isn't a complete fan of the genre. I prefer some clean vocals, and this has none, but it's still a great album I often come back to.

    Of Addictions Of Addictions
Echotide is a cinematic instrumental post-rock/metal group formed by members of Arcane and Caligula's Horse. I've no favorite song because this album really needs to be listened and taken in as a whole. As someone else said, it rewards patience.

    P. S. Do check out the members' other bands. Especially Arcane and their album 'Chronicles of The Waking Dream'. I can't recommend that enough!

Stellar instrumental post-rock from my hometown! The comparisons with the bands mentioned in the description all hold true. Definitely recommended!
