The folk music of the british isles holds a soft spot in my heart. Drone-y guitar work and bagpipes do as well. Playing fuzzy, warm, droney guitar as a bagpipe(with the drone underneath the melody) just makes it awesome. It's my current favorite background music to just have on while doing dishes or just hanging around the house.
Myrkur doesn't give a fuck. And that's why I love her stuff. I always like the mix of the sacred and the profane in music, and using cool spaces acoustics to make your music have a new atmosphere. And acoustic versions of metal songs are always great!
This band is basically like an Israeli love child of Wilderun and Carach Angren in the best way possible. Frenetic tremello picked riffing mixed with technical stuff and their wonderful clean and harsh vocals mix together in the best way possible. Definitely on my "top albums of 2016" list.
