You know when you only need to hear a few seconds of an album to know you're going to be playing it for years? It's a rare occurance, but Telefone's release means adding another to my list. Her deft use of poetry interweaved with some of the finest production I've heard oozes originality from its every pore. A double-edged sword - stick this on while with friends and they'll ease into Telefone's playful energy. Experienced alone though, this album listens like an open diary. Marvellous.

Sophie's honesty shines through on this record. from beginning to end she wears her heart on her sleeve. This is 'girl on her guitar' done how it should be - heartfelt, bold, and elegant in its simplicity.

    Trapdoor Trapdoor
First time I've given KGATLW a proper listen. I wasn't disappointed. Reminds me a lot of Unknown Mortal Orchestra's earlier material with less of the fuzz.
Trapdoor is one of the most fun songs I've heard this year, it wouldn't have sounded out of place on Ariel Pink's 'Pom Pom'

  11. Inertia (Ft. Habstrakt)
    by Culprate
    track 00:00/00:00
In a sea of producers content on sounding identical, Culprate consistently delivers tracks that prove the undeniable: There's nobody that can match his style.
