Hard to pick a favourite since I love almost every song on this album. slumped for Late Night Sketchy since its the song I fell in love with at the Yellowland Gig and which eventually convinced me to buy the album.
Stunningly good. powerful. lyrics are unbelievably deep and brilliant. True wordsmith stuff. Escape Routine is the best example of stunning lyrics, and if you want to see it at its best then check out the last minute or so of the song live at the Barrowlands on YouTube where it's preformed as spoken word. Exceptional.
The music itself is both clean and punky, raw and refined. it's an amazing blend of punk with almost prog rock elements in the guitar solo work/synths (better demonstrated live) and sitar (yep...) work.
It's excellent music and if you're from Glasgow (or any other major city that has similar social issues) it's probably a must buy.
Best album I've heard in years!
