  1. SAT372: Vrykolakas - Nocturnal Dominion Of Death (2024)
    by Satanath Records
Foretaste The Divine Wrath Foretaste The Divine Wrath
Dark and pummeling BDM, very bad ass, reminds me a little of Avulsed. Thanks for the code, Satanath.
  2. SAT371: Peklo - Supostat (2024)
    by Satanath Records
  3. Kydoimos
    by Kawir
Fields Of Flegra Fields Of Flegra
Another great album that was released on April 19th. This is far more melodic and epic, sometimes even hymnic. Thanks to the drumming and the deliciously fierce vocals Kydoimos doesn't fall short in aggression. Fantastic mix of pagan and folk elements, too. Kawir are going very strong!
  4. Upharsin
    by Blaze of Perdition
Młot, miecz i bat Młot, miecz i bat
Driven by the fuel of hatred Upharsin will bring BoP back where they belong by its sheer power. Everything here is so irresistably good that it's worth dying for. My world is shattered and laid in ashes and tears by the blaze of perdition. Hail Soneillon! Hail Vizun! Hail BoP!
  5. Endless Cycle Of Suffering
by A Pretext To Human Suffering
    Formless Collective Formless Collective
Brutal and heavy af but also very well written and juicy. The immense variety of the vocals adds a lot. As tight and massive as you can wish for. Endless Cycle Of Suffering is trying to blow my head clean off for two hours now and it will get many chances to try again. My recommendation: put on your most robust quality earphone, volume up to the max and see if you can't get rid off all your earthly problems. Insanely good!
  6. Ekbom
    by Benighted
    Metastasis Metastasis
Loving Benighted's music for the impactful energy for many many years and they completely failed to disappoint the whole time. Ekbom is packed to the max with all the things I love about Benighted. This may very well become my favorite Benighted release ever. Time will tell. For now: job done excellently, Messieurs.
  7. Swords of Dajjal
    by Necrowretch
    Dii Mauri Dii Mauri
Swords of Dajjal is mostly fast paced and highly energetic black/death metal. Great riffs, memorable and diverse songs and breathtaking blast beats crowned by some evil vocals. If they improve from this release to the next as they did from the previous to this the next one surely will be on many AOTY lists. Necrowretch are on a very promising way.
  8. Lifeless Birth
    by Necrot
    The Curse The Curse
I already liked their previous releases but have to admit that this one is special. They upped their game impressively and made it 100 % clear that they are to be reckoned with when the future of death metal is at debate. I simply can't find words to tell you how much I love that pumping bass, the driving drums, that catchy guitar hooks and the powerful and mostly fast riffs. This is the heart of death metal pumping blood through my veins.
  9. II
    by Vale Of Pnath
The Serpent's Lair The Serpent's Lair
In my opinion they are the best techdeath band currently out there. What more do you need to know? I love everything about there music and above all other I love the bass.
  10. The Prodigal Empire
    by Vale Of Pnath
Legacy Of Loss Legacy Of Loss
These guys already knew what they were doing back in 2011. Great melodic techdeath. Play it loud and enjoy the hell out of it. Early state of the great band but already very refined and accomplished.
  11. MMXVIII
    by Necroracle
    Revelations Revelations
And here is where you get to when you follow an outstanding 2024 release. Even the early beginnings of Necroracle in 2018 have already been very impressive. The comments on this page speak loud and clear. I love both your releases and the way you are developing further without loosing a certain consistancy. Great work all around, Necroracle.
  12. Masters of Morbidity
    by 200 Stab Wounds
Masters of Morbidity Masters of Morbidity
Music for the killing floor as it's always in for the kill.
  13. W Połogu
    by Poroniec
    Wątpliwości Wątpliwości
Everything is on point here. Poroniec created an album that ticks all my boxes. It's dark and aggressive, powerful and diverse. Every single note is necessary where it is and supports the song, very impressive. I absolutely love W Połogu. Thanks Poroniec! I'll check out your entire discography.
  14. Verlorene Seelen und ihr Zerfall
    by Bedrängnis
    Fährnis Fährnis
Already a very good and sophisticated black metal foundation and than those groundshattering vocals on top. Thanks for making Bedrängnis show up in my feed, Sachavonkarl74. Outstanding!
  15. Amongst The Low & Empty
    by Signs Of The Swarm
Tower Of Torsos Tower Of Torsos
For all those in need of nasty breakdowns and deliciously filthy vocals: with Signs Of The Swarm you have satisfaction guaranteed. Killer sophisticated brutality.
  16. Simulacrum (Bonus Tracks Version)
    by Hideous Divinity
    Actaeon Actaeon
Impressive how they managed to keep all this fury under control and let out one crushing and devastating beast after the other. And I'm sure I don't need to say anything about their level of technical skill.
  17. Unextinct (24-bit HD audio)
    by Hideous Divinity
Atto Quarto: The Horror Paradox Atto Quarto: The Horror Paradox
Hideous Divinty always released great albums. And everytime they put out a new one it is better than the predecessor. But the predecessor never becomes obsolete. Has there ever been a band so significantly improving and consistant at the same time? On Unextinct the songs demand more room and are more complex than ever before yet they flow so naturally that you are involved in the emotions and overwhelmed by the atmosphere before you know. A masterpiece!
  18. Hideous Divinity - Obeisance Rising (Remastered)
    by Hideous Divinity
Bred For Slavery Bred For Slavery
Since I first encountered Hideous Divinity I've never heard a song by them that was weaker than very good. This extreme consistancy makes it obligatory to own each of their releases in the highest possible quality.
  19. Absolvere
    by Signs of the Swarm
    Hollow Prison Hollow Prison
Take everything that's brutal and mix it together on a deathcore basis. Put the seasoning Signs Of the Swarm call their own into consideration and what you get is basically Absolvere. A perfectly diverse brutal beast with the occassional addition of clean vocals that are not bad. Could have done without them though.
  20. Cobra Verde (Remastered)
by Hideous Divinity - Cobra Verde
    Cobra Verde Cobra Verde
The album I got to know Hideous Divinity with. Still fresh and crushingly heavy Cobra Verde will always have a special place in my heart. It's just examplary for the use of technical prowess in writing great songs.
