  2. Hippo Lite
    by Drinks
Saw them a year or so ago at Sonic City Music Festival and the only reason I didn't buy this immediately is because 'Hermits on Holiday' isn't on there. Still, I keep coming back to it. Reminds me alot of the movie Frank, both sonically and emotionally. Great band, hope they collaborate some more in the future.

    Broken Characters Broken Characters
Broken Characters sounds like a David Bowie cover which is just so appropriate for the subject of the song. Another example of this band's amazing talent.

  11. A Fragile Geography
    by Rafael Anton Irisarri
    Empire Systems Empire Systems
Only few ambient artists can fill the void with a story as noteworthy as Rafael's A Fragile Geography, where the loss of his equipment forced him to approach his work in a different angle. It's an album inspired by feelings that evoke rainy noise along with anger and powerlessness. Where most ambient artists simply try to create a meditational state that feels rather chill, Rafael elevates the genre from the hazy bedroom to the chambers of reflection that is reminiscent of Lynch cinema and Moby.
  12. Little Victories
    by Krobak
And there by the River I lost my Glasses And there by the River I lost my Glasses
This album came at the right moment in my life; after a long period of feeling down from a breakup and creative burnout I stumbled upon a tree that was destroyed by a recent storm. The light was magnificent and made it seem as if the tree were still alive even when it was split in half. The same day I stumbled upon Krobak and their album inspired me to write a poem about the tree. It gave me alot of strength to pull my head out of the clouds, now I'm able to dream with my feet on the ground.
