Reminiscent of the psychedelic, garage-rock sound of the late 60s, Bad Bangs is a refreshing sound from Melbourne and their debut LP, "Character Building" is more than a testimony to their capabilities. Bitchin' guitar riffs, tight bass grooves, slick lead guitar melodies sprinkled throughout and a hypnotic voice offering esoteric lyrics reaching abnormal heights, this group makes you proud to be Australian. I'd love to see these songs performed live one day.

Possibly my favourite album by the Babes. It has plenty of laid-back, chill vibes with just the right amount of funky, foot-tapping, head-bobbing lines that keep you from drifting off into a daydream of ethereal and utopic tranquility. California is a great track to go strutting in time to down along the beach as the sun's lying upon the horizon and reaching out to you to come and get it.

The simple hymns, melodies and rhythms allow you to explore your mind and go on a journey to the otherwise unknown places that offer answers to those who seek them
