    Alive Alive
I bought this album after the other four because half the tracks have vocals and I really prefer the instrumental pieces... But I finally decided my collection was incomplete without The Nth º, Alive and Contact.

Alive really stands out to me as a kind of energetic celebration. It's always easy to listen to, no matter the context, and it's filled with all those lovely unique breaks that I'd become so fond of in the later works.
  7. Canon
    by OVERWERK
    Canon Canon
Toccata's the easiest for listening or grooving to, but man Canon is just epic. Every time I hear it I have visions of movie action sequences... But there's one little sample, the best example of which is at 02:42, that always feels to me like a nod-and-a-wink to the original Dr Who.

I mean, I can't be the only old fogey here, right?
  8. Exist
    by OVERWERK
Exist (Club Mix) Exist (Club Mix)
The same track in two flavours. Personally I prefer the Club Mix because it doesn't spend half the track building and because I love all the different breaks.
  9. After Hours
    by OVERWERK
    Daybreak Daybreak
I was introduced to Overwerk by the Daybreak (GoPro HERO3 Edit), which made it into a lot of YouTube videos before the confusion over its Royalty Free status made that untenable.

If you'll forgive the soapbox, I really think one Royalty Free track per year would do a lot to generate interest . If I hadn't been on YouTube in that narrow window of popularity, I wouldn't be here now buying up the entire catalogue.

Also, that GoPro mix really should be retconned back into the album.
  10. Conquer
    by OVERWERK
    Rise Rise
Rise isn't just my favourite track on this album, it's my favourite Overwerk track of them all.

It's inspiring. It tells a story, probably unique to each listener, but to me it's a story of clouds and storms and breaking through them, up into sunlight. But then every time I listen it feels subtly different too. The story changes and adapts.

Until Canon in 2015 I was worried that kind of emotional epic had been a one-off, and boy am I glad to see it wasn't.
