Pitchforkcore, fer sure, but thank you Mr. Forrest for your blending of tracks to create an experience similar to The Avalanches. Thank you.

This guy makes some of the best beat tapes ever. This tape is #2 to his actual "S. Maharba" album. Give it a solid listen~ it's pretty radical stuff.

Ah, "Room Music", the actual song. Good work. Kanji's mind was bent. Made me think about John Cage compositions, especially whenever Cage used the actual sounds of the room he was in as accompanied "instruments" to the actual song. Less electronic and more acoustic than their other albums.

    Ohayou Ohayou
"Ohayou" is particularly good. Nice driving drum beat with a progressive theme. Kanji approves!

"You Must Be Too" is another particularly well-done track. Good use of samples. Oh, for it to be autumn again...

My only "tripe" if any with the album is that I kind of feel like it isn't decided on a consistent sound. A lot of the tracks here are all over the place with sound, moving from chaotic Aphex Twin style synth craziness to ambient pieces and then onto AMV-styled techno.

Ah. Tape music. If you understand Steve Reich's "Come Out", you'll understand "&time" (pronounced as "and time"?). I also like the first track, and, most of all, "yyyy" ("Why why why why"?)

OK. Seriously? Setting classical music samples to an outdoor nighttime ambient track? If this five minute piece is going to even try to emulate The Caretaker's AEBBTW, it's gonna have to do more than that. Nice try, but my least favorite selection out of yyu's interesting discography.

This guys are freaking awesome. Definitely a group to look into if you're into the whole Death Grips bandwagon. Seriously though, a smartly produced album that has an undercurrent of some pretty cool tape music experimentation. Check out "Outro" as well as "Williams Mix" on their much more known "CLPPNG" album.
