    Evolution 1.1 - 24bits Evolution 1.1 - 24bits
[ 9980 ] is the album which first introduced me to the world of downtempo and deep house/trance. The introductory song, Evolution 1.1, is unforgettable in both mood and beat and sets the tone for the remainder of the album.

Every note in every song feels as if it were placed so meticulously, so deliberately to deliver such a sublime auditory experience, unlike anything I have ever heard.

Ambient Metal. Now that term is something I never heard of until I played Killing Floor and found zYnthetic. The album is fantastic overall. A few tracks in the album are less heavy, however the majority retains the same general mood: impending doom and anger. When the music gets pumping, so do you. When the music gets ambient and creepy, you feel it.

    Motorcycle Cop Motorcycle Cop
Not as pumping as EP 1, however I get the feeling they were going for something different with this album. This album has a lot of atmosphere to it but not a lot of action. Power Glove's signature sound is still here, meaning it is fun to listen to. The grooves flow very well and the sound is very clear. Production is terrific. The Fauns remix of 4am here is a very nice interlude to the otherwise deep texture based experience. Nothing blew my mind however.

This is the definition nostalgia right here. I just... It's plain out amazing, every track. I went on a trip back in time and ended up dancing in my seat.

Act 3 - Where it all Began Act 3 - Where it all Began
Atmospheric is one way to describe it. The variety and depth throughout is noteworthy. While it retains a very dark ambient sound throughout, there are many peaks of light through the darkness that we can see which add a texture to the overall experience that makes it unique. Try pairing it with a similarly toned activity; it adds another level of immersion. I listened to this while playing EVE Online and boy did it make things interesting. Alone, the album can be slow at times.

    Rating: 4/5
