Anytime I feel myself needing a hip hop revival, my approach is to buy (or at least check in with) DJ/Producer projects.
They're uniquely positioned to remind me of dope emcees I forgot about and to put me on to new ones I need to check for.
This record is stuffed with emcees I loved already, AND I learned about a few new (to me) ones!
Case in point: SOL SUPREME by CAMBATTA! OMFG!!! It's like Dre from Das EFX fused with Vex from Boogiemonsters (dating myself, I know)!
