My heart hurts. I'm gonna miss you, Trevor.
  5. Dreampiece
    by Devin Townsend
Devin's ambient catalog has come a long way since Devlab and The Hummer. I'm elated to hear this purely ethereal venture from him. It sounds very reminiscent of VLA from Carbon Based Lifeforms, but brighter.
  6. 行方不明
    by Macroblank
    手遅れです 手遅れです
Randomly discovered this album on YT. I thought it was going to be a different genre based solely on seeing a Nazgul on the cover. I was delighted and surprised when it turned out to be a cool, jazzy exploratory record with booming drums and deep bass. Even a bright vocal here and there too. It feels like easy listening without falling into that near-spam category of cookie cutter "coffee lounge albums" that clog up every other indie artist's feed. This'll be excellent for misty weekend mornings
  7. 新世界の弟子たち

    新世界を上昇させて 新世界を上昇させて
Another random discovery from YT. This album is weird, in the best ways. Like a combination of Vaporwave and Ambient. You don't know where it's going to take you, or where it came from. But the journey is effulgent from beginning to end.
  8. Realms (EP)
    by HOLY FAWN
    Amulet Amulet
Been a fan of HOLY FAWN for a long time, and it all stemmed from hearing Amulet on a random Spotify playlist many years back. Even better when they're a local band; makes me proud to be from this sweltering desert. If you're a fan of Alcest and Deafheaven, you'll love this group.

    Beamless Beamless
The band is no more, but this album is beautiful. A floating sort of metal. I'm sure there's a specific sub-genre for this, but for those of us who don't use them, I'll just say that this album glides and soars. It brings you along for the flight with a firm hand, but you never feel forced. It's a wonderful outing and I'm sad I didn't discover it when the band was together.
  15. Body Is Dead
    by Funeral Advantage
Body Is Dead Body Is Dead
This album is without compare. If you're into shoegaze, you are late to the party. Favorite track is incorrect only because I'm not allowed to pick "the whole thing". I could have sworn I bought this years ago, but when I realized it wasn't in my bandcamp collection I had to fix that right away.
  16. Velvet Dawn
    by Ruin Of Romantics
    Long Cigarette Long Cigarette
This is an excellent shoegaze type album. Almost a hidden gem, because I'd never heard of them until it came in front of me, and I didn't see much activity for this band elsewhere. Definitely give this band a chance. For fans of the darker, moodier side of fuzz.
  17. A Patient Man
    by Cult Leader
    To: Achlys To: Achlys
I first discovered this album through the track To: Achlys. At the time, when I listened to the rest of the album I was caught off guard and didn't give it much chance. But with repeated listens since then, I've discovered the beauty in their lyricism and sound. The poignancy in this writing extends for fathoms beyond what you first hear.
  18. Lovesong
    by Trevor Something
My favorite synthwave artist covering one of my favorite Cure songs? Are you kidding me? Why WOULDN'T I love this? Fuck me up, Trevor <3
