I suspect the thematic thrust of this album is the metaphorical idea of "the walking dead", specifically the idea of a "zombie" as someone who exists solely as a means to produce value or profit for the benefit of others. It's about one's own demise being monetized, commercialized, exploited, and subverted for the fun and profit of others. See the lyrics of tracks 1, 3, 5, 6, 11, 14, among others. This also explains the "I do not believe in the occult" bit at the end of track 1.
