I fell in love with this album and especially the first track back in 2003. Finding amazing new artists on the internet was much harder before all the services we have today, but Mahumodos partially clean lyrics and long contiguous walls of sound is not something any other artist has matched since.

This shorter album feels more experimental than the previous two and
in that sense it's closer to the older EPs, but its tone is smoother, colder, and instead of merely dark, it's fully black. I don't love Vantablack's weird lyrical experiment, but the rest of the album plays like a strong credit roll to the epic masterpieces of Dangerous Days and The Uncanny Valley albums.

Corrupted By Design's first pounding minute quarter has become my favorite bass test.

Just like Dangerous Days, this entire album brings a consistent gritty theme from start to finish. There are so many amazing tracks it was hard to pick a favorite. The pounding of Assault, and Death Squad, the airy breath of Sentient, the franetic flight of Disco Inferno are all great, but the title track really brings it all.
