Firmly based in acoustic guitar, every song is wonderfully complemented with backing instruments and/or effects to create unique tracks and a superb low-fi psychedelic feel to the entire album. Good for driving, playing on a rainy day, or just in general, a chorus will pop into your head days after listening.
This guy can flow. Oh my goodness this guy can flow. I was hooked on the rhythm of the words and future listens opened up the substance behind the sounds.
Fantastic melodies and wonderful changes of pace as these three women weave their voices together for a stunning album. Sparse use of original instruments complement the voices perfectly.
The juxtaposition between moody, haunting guitars with some serious rocking guitars creates a otherworldly sound and tension behind each song that can just rock the fuck out to.
I cannot say how much I love this album and band. Very well crafted songs, fast guitars, exquisite drumming, fabulous vocals, and some fantastic lyrics. Mr. Gnome is one of those bands that you can listen to anytime, anywhere.
Everything about this band makes me happy. It's good, clean, high energy music that you can listen to again and again. If you have the chance to see them in concert, the live show is stunning.
