The Next 20th Century The Next 20th Century
Condé Nast's Pitchfork delights in ripping on FJM, and enjoys mocking his listeners & fans if he has them. its review is 500 words too long & nonsensical. And what the fuck is wrong with dreams, even those with blood and death.

    enjoy theGuardian's take:

  14. LABYRINTHITIS
    by Destroyer
Eat the Wine, Drink the Bread Eat the Wine, Drink the Bread
"i piss on the floorboards the whole world's a stage". i never tire of Destroyer's way with words.
Destroyer's words are fun to sing along too or attempt to with a cocktail is a swell touch as well.
It's not the masterpiece "Have We Met", but it is pretty close. The drummer too is special, the drums hit hard and you notice it. I love Bejar's hair as well.

  16. Laurel Hell
    by Mitski
Love Me More Love Me More
"Love Me More," and its piano/synths hit the right spots. and who doesn't want to be cleaned up frm time to time.
Pitchfork missed on Mitski's new music. it's at least 8.2. but it also was telling, Mitski's disdain for making music and fans is posturing and elitist.

  17. Once Twice Melody
    by Beach House
    Superstar Superstar
Beach House has been at this for a minute. I saw it at a small spot in Baltimore, "Depression Cherry" time w/drop of "Thank Your Lucky Stars" vinyl at the concert.
OTM should be enjoyed in bits, not a big swallow. VL says fans have tiny attentions, fuck you, suck it up weaklings. nevertheless it is one of its best.

  18. DEATHFAME
    by Quelle Chris
Excuse My Back (feat. Cavalier) Excuse My Back (feat. Cavalier)
    I also listen on qoboz,https://play.qobuz.com/featured
cause BC, owned by Epic is going bankrupt and it will be gone before the end of the decade.
As I age, my music taste, exquisite as it is, changes. I listen to Quelle Chris catalogue more than say Earl Sweatshirt's. "Being You Is Great, I Wish I Could Be You More Often," is my favorite, but "Guns" and "DEATHFAME" are real close.

  20. New Long Leg
    by Dry Cleaning
dentists and their messy gardens, beware. you are a useless long leg. now we all know most ppl are. i don't remember anyone.
smiling constantly, and ppl constantly stepping on me frm "Her Hippo."
i've been staring at that hotdog for hours.
i've come here to make a ceramic shoe and smash what you've made.
outside of Armand Hammer's "Haram," this is the best longplay of any music that matters and easily so (in 2021). not sure who the vocalist is, but she's fucking serious.
