  4. Dancefloor
    by Puppy Mountain
Puppy Mountain is our own Fred Again, our own Ross With Friends... a housey producer who manages to imbued his left of center palette with some much feeling. There's an undercurrent of sadness and nostalgia to this record that's borderline inexplicable. Obsessed.
  5. Hey
    by Phoebe Go
This crushed me. Phoebe's voice, her lyrical intimacy, her suburban imagery and the no frills production all sew together on earnest heart.
  6. Mad

  7. Confide
    by Jace Kara
Love that UK garage influence here that imbues the beat with such jiggly kneed energy.
  8. Outer Space
    by Morgues
I properly love Morgues so much. I love the way they make their guitars sound, I love the way they cram syllables into sentences, the way they feel both nostalgic and modern. Jus really like em don't I.
  9. Honest
    by Pei
I live for a vocal that has this much character. No overcoat of varnish, Joji opts instead for some light layering and a relationship between vocal and instrumentation that feels like pure and true. Honest even? Stop it. Speaking of that instrumentation though, it's gonna take me a few listens to really get to the bottom of it between bells, chimes, whistles, lightly plucked guitars, electrics and driving percussion. A really special record.

  11. So Familiar
    by Way Dynamic
I could listen to this a hundred times and never lose interest in the gentle groove of it.
  12. Melody Kong
    by honestfrank
Our local race candy vendor is praying at the altar of honestfrank, offering thanks for the increased sales that lie ahead. The Donkey Kong Country samples did for me.
  13. Side
    by Matahara
Matahara entering her 'sounds like noone else' phase and ya love to see it. Working with all the right people to bring out the strangeness of production as well as a little Tram Cops vocal I'm hearing in there too! I love the way you've treated your own vocals, both in terms of production and the way those melodies run. Really unexpected next step and I'm thankful for it.
  14. APPLY THE PRESSURE (feat. Zion Garcia)
    by SOLLYY
Nothing test tube about this, Sollyy and Zion is the most natural born teamup imaginable. You can hear the chemistry between production and bars and the result is so cohesive,. Garage moments, four to the floor heat and swagger to the teeth. These two get it.
  15. dread ahead
    by jack slade
Rare to see such a supremely realized debut single but here we are with mister Jack Slade. His vocals sound almost as if he's singing with a cold and I mean no slight when I say that given that it offers plenty of character in the doing. A melting pot of influences from hip-hop to indie rock to emo to modern indie kings like Jean Dawson. A little somethin somethin for everyone.

  16. Decay
    by Lorelei
There's so much to love about this new single from Lorelei. From the vocal melodies to the driving guitars and the emotive guitars and the way the two interplay with each other. The vocal harmonies in the chorus and the way that snare drum just snaps. Beautiful song!
  17. Surprise!

  18. Picture Frame
    by hector morlet
Look I was stressed but I'm glad to confirm that Hector's Still Got It. It's been four months or so since his last record and that dry spell really hurt me deep. His voice already feels familiar as an old friend.
  19. OTTN (On To The Next)
    by IJALE
JUJU (feat. Dayne Jordan) JUJU (feat. Dayne Jordan)
Deviating between sonic references and themes both heavy and lightfingered, IJALE dropped a classic with this record. So many individual tracks that could stand on their own as singles, production that'd light up the night and a voice that's rich with tone and swagger.
