This album provides a fun and fast 48 minutes on the elliptical. Dancey, contemporary, and thought-provoking. It is easy to listen to, and move to. Very nice!

This blistering EP is a giant leap forward in this bands journey to greatness. The vocals range from haunting to shrieking and the music is relentless as it pummels and pounds the listener with incredibly complex rhythms and time shifts.

The first time I heard and saw Glowbug perform at a popular venue in Bellingham, WA, I was a bit perplexed and didn't quite feel where the music was leading. Now, with "Lights in the Snow", Daniel Anderson has indeed shone a light on that path. This collection of winter holiday-themed tunes flows with a modern sweetness that is neither sugary nor droll. It rings with a resonance that is evocative of the best work by Tears For Fears. I like it. A lot.

Why is this album so compelling? It's like the battles are occurring in my head. Just when I think I'm getting a handle on the beat, I get hit with the blunt end of a buzz saw, the music pivots 97 degrees, and I get yanked in that direction over completely different terrain. My head hurts. Play it again.
