The UK's leading solo bass guitarist - splitting my time between making music and listening to it. That's a pretty diverse life, I think you'll agree.

'Steve Lawson is a brilliant musician. I've known about him and listened to him for many years. He may not be one of the most famous bassists but he is definitely one of the most talented'.

Wow, this is truly one of the most remarkable things to cross my path in a very long time. I ADORE this album. There's pretty much nothing about it that isn't spectacular. To blend the intensity of metal with the atmospherics and melody of 80s new wave... it's the perfect blend. Amazing

Am now definitely a confirmed Janet Feder devotee - another truly wonderful album, part solo, part duets with Fred Frith. Effortlessly inventive, but with more warmth, heart and emotion than pretty much any other experimental music I've heard. Just get everything Janet has ever done, OK? :)

Have long been a fan of Steven Guererro's playing, and there's a whole lot of synergy between he and David here. Lovely lovely music, plenty of inspiring bassiness too.

holy shit, this is amazing. One of those records that makes me want to play music for hours and hours. Janet has an exquisite song-writer sensibility, but wraps it in the most beautiful experimental/avant garde sonic context. And this is recorded to perfection. Headphones or great speakers only for this one. Trust me, you don't want to miss all the great stuff going on around it. Definitely one of the best albums of the year.

What an extraordinary album. Tom's voice sounds wiser but no less angry than before, the compositions are deep and wide, and the lyrics will feed you for years to come. LOVE this.

woah! Love this a whole massive lot. So diverse, so heavy, such brilliant use of the brass and the choir... I would say it's like putting a Dillinger Escape Plan album and a Hope And Social album on at the same time, and them miraculously fitting together, but as only about 3 people in the world exist at the intersection of those two bands, I'll just say I love it, and you should hear it. :)
