The Great Hall The Great Hall
This album has much in common with the surfer electronica of Tycho as it does with any instrumental stoner rock band. It's chill but upbeat, and more ethereal, than a smoky haze. Intricate without prog pretence. Highly recommended for those seeking good vibes without groggy after effects.

Devoid Of Redemption Devoid Of Redemption
Gloomy epic doom. I'd put it right up there with the best of Messiah-era Candlemass. I don't know what else to say, it's amazing.

  10. Dreamspell Athenaeum

  11. Old Climb
    by Coma Hole
Top-notch song-writing, production and tight grooves. Eryka's vocals are crazy powerful. This single kicks ass!
  12. Grimoire Volume I
    by Jamestown Pagans
Doom, with electric organ instead of guitar. It's damn good.
  13. Blessings of the Highest Order
    by Thou
The best collection of Nirvana covers you're likely to ever hear.

  15. The Nightcomers

Pure, putrid filth! Unsuitable for parents, children, or anything that enjoys fresh air and sunshine. 10/10
  16. King Radio
    by Four Stroke Baron
    Vacant Planet Vacant Planet
Everyone seems to be be focused on Four Stroke Baron's new stuff but this first album is as good as anything they've done. Lots of people like to say what FSB sound like so I might as well too - they remind me of Helmet. It sounds like there's a lot of 90s alt-metal influence here, which I think is awesome! Also, it's pay what you want. Buy it!
  17. Voyager
    by Galactic Tyrannosaur
Heavy, trippy but complex. This is proggy cosmic doom. A perfect soundtrack for playing space sim games when you get tired of the softer electronic ambient stuff so many of them have. I really dig it!
  18. NEOS "Neos" (Digital)
    by Loneravn Records
    2.Pulsar 2.Pulsar
This is instrumental-downtempo-ambient-psydub-doom. Imagine Jesu and Liquid Stranger gave birth to a starchild. I've never heard anything like it.
