    pulverized pulverized
this album is THE ONE that sparked my discovery of my taste in music. first hearing ‘pulverized’ in beeple’s Transparent Machines video on Vimeo, i had to know what those sounds were. so i found this album, and was taken away by the worlds within. it’s not pop, you won’t hear it on the radio, your mom won’t like it, there’s no obviously real instruments, but THE SOUNDS, they are alive. the perfect mix of ambiance, bass, and something that lets the imagination run absolutely wild. the best music.

galva - BITE THE DUST galva - BITE THE DUST
setting a Favorite Track is like choosing a favorite child... all these tracks are so damn good. they all resemble LORN in style but are so unique. seems each artist heard more of certain aspects in LORN’s music and applied their perspectives to the fullest. most tracks were collabs which seemed to combine these perspectives into something epic. some favorites are ZEAL, SHADOW GALLERY, ATHTRAB X, and CHANGES. BITE THE DUST takes the Favorite-Track cake for its unapologetic punchiness, i love i

i did NOT expect that sound, track started quiet so i cranked the volume, hit me like bricks! chills, man. great stuff!

    BITTER ARCS BITTER ARCS
badass tracks! Lorn is always evolving, and i love every second of it. i get a strong sense of déjà vu around the 00:28 mark of BITTER ARCS, almost sounds like the ships from Elysium, or the Combine dropships from Half Life 2, and with Lorn’s other tracks named “SV_Cheats 0,” and “Noclip,” i wouldn’t be surprised... keep it coming!
  16. ZERO BOUNCE
    by LORN & DOLOR
    ZERO BOUNCE ZERO BOUNCE
reminds me of early cold winter days, starting a frozen car and driving to work. these sounds keep some fire alive, making it bearable. ZERO BOUNCE hits different, with those bassy sounds reminding me of what i love about OXBOW B; raw, heavy, organic sound that slaps on a whole new level.
  17. GUARDIAN
    by LORN
    GUARDIAN 2 GUARDIAN 2
Lorn's newest tracks don't feel as melancholic or angry as before. yet his latest tracks still retain the grungy dystopian atmosphere that initially drew me in. the change in mood is definitely welcome. before, i accepted the moods, and empathized with them. now, these tracks are damn inspirational. can't wait for more! thanks Lorn

    PERFEKT DARK PERFEKT DARK
this is some fresh material! the first few seconds suggest something's about to go down. overall a well-balanced mix of beats and ambiance. PERFEKT DARK is making its way up to my all-time favorite track for combining both so damn well. TIMESINK takes you on an adventure. i really dig the beat and vocals of THROUGH THE FIRE. given the name and the overall feel of this EP, for me it's all about fighting our own demons, and coming out on top. inspiring stuff, as always. thank you Lorn.
  19. RARITIES
    by LORN
    LOSST LOSST
what beautiful RARITIES these are. several are familiar from Self Confidence and the likes, some are new to my ears. to me, LOSST sounds like the epic adventure in our dreams, full of grandeur and hope; while HOPE YOU'LL STAY emits stabbing despair. vast contrast among these tracks. as always, the emotion and sound engineering is unrivaled, even in these older pieces. thank you Lorn

OUT OF THE FRAME OUT OF THE FRAME
I AM A DAGGER is a great first teaser! those first seconds are awesome sound engineering. marvelous album, i can't wait for what more. i'm usually not a fan of lyrics in music, but Lorn's vocals are simply beautiful, but maybe i'm biased... L'APPEL DU VIDE feels so refined, idk how else to describe it. OUT OF THE FRAME feels like it's up to something important. great variety in this album, it shows Lorn's absolute mastery of expression in this difficult medium, while still remaining... Lorn.
