    by Dj CUTMAN
Zelda's House (Link Between Worlds) Zelda's House (Link Between Worlds)
Dj Cutman's masterful work continues. From relaxed and more ponderous tracks like his Zelda's House, to the upbeat Horizon, the whole album plays with the conventions of EDM and VG music. If there's two words to sum up the album, they would be: Thoughtful experimentation.
  6. World 1-2: The Complete Collection
    by Brave Wave Productions
Lost Our Marbles (Sonic The Hedgehog) Lost Our Marbles (Sonic The Hedgehog)
Rarely do you get to see such a varied, storied and inclusive album. Across many systems, many games, many genres, World 1-2 brings out the best from classic VG music and newer artists. The Gerudo Ritual is a display in synth and gypsy guitar that leaves me craving more. While Lost Our Marbles perfectly channels the synth arrangements of my childhood. Whatever your flavor, Brave Wave provides in this spectacular album.
  7. Retro-Active Pt. 1
    by Keiji Yamagishi
    Starfish Cluster Starfish Cluster
To listen to new work from Keiji Yamagishi is a wonderful treat in itself, but that's just the beginning. Drawing from older inspiration and new experimental musical trends, Yamagishi evokes a pastoral and seaside reverie for the ears. The album is purely enchanting.
  8. Miyajima
    by Brave Wave Productions
    Space Wars Space Wars
Brave Wave knocks it out of the park again. Miyajima blends elements of old school electro with elements of chill music. The result is an album that effortlessly transposes the listener into an otherworldly universe. VG elements permeate the entire album, but never break the surface in an aggressive way, leading us on a journey through its bewitching aural space.
  9. Shovel Knight Original Soundtrack
    by Jake Kaufman
The Rival (Black Knight - First Battle) The Rival (Black Knight - First Battle)
Kaufman's work is evocative of so many old-school classic games, such as Mega Man 2 and Ninja Gaiden. Yet, his flavour is all his own and channels the medieval narrative to such great effect. Each track brings the player into distinct landscapes and narrates the player's journey perfectly.
  10. Amplifier
    by Lost Years
    Red Horizon Red Horizon
A completely alien landscape awaits the listener. Lost Years creates an aural space that drags the audience ears first into a world unlike no other. 80s synth music to be sure, but with more depth and ever-evolving patterns within patterns. Amplifier is a perfect fugue of electro elements likely to make us recall the sci-fi works of our childhood.
