    TWIN TWIN
This may be the best album I own. Honestly it was a little outside my comfort-zone the first couple of times I heard it, but by the third or fourth listen it ranked among my favorites.

The way the instruments interweave to form complex and exciting melodies, sometimes locked like a clock and sometimes at the brink of falling apart... intriguing, captivating, ever brilliant.

Magazine (feat. Porta Girevole Chamber Orchestra) Magazine (feat. Porta Girevole Chamber Orchestra)
Kaki King manages to both frequently reinvent herself and yet stay distinctly recognizable; creating something uniquely her own and generously sharing it with us. I entered her world at "Dreaming of Revenge", had my mind blow (and impressively expanded) by "The Neck Is The Bridge To The Body" and this next incarnation promises to be an interesting step in the evolution, part of the growth of the artist, and dare I say her fans? She has my support for a long time to come.
  9. The Neck Is The Bridge To The Body
    by Kaki King
I have listened to a ton of Kaki King. Dreaming of Revenge was an excellent album. Glow grew on me and became a favorite. The Neck Is A Bridge... really really great. In my personal top ten from anything I own.

It has a "concept album" feel, like it's a complete story unto itself.
I always start from the beginning and let the whole thing play, it wouldn't feel right to do it any other way.

Genre bending, incredibly artistic, it explores places that only the bravest and most curious artist go.

Every End Is A New Beginning Every End Is A New Beginning
mononome's music stands out in a crowd glutted with similar sounds. It fills in around the edges just enough to help me focus on work and yet remains worth paying close attention to when I have attention free to do so.

I love this because it's cool.
  18. This Is a Game
    by Nick Waterhouse
I love this funky throwback soul stuff. Really tight rhythmic horns, bluesy guitar riffs. High production value on this track too.

  20. We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic
    by Foxygen
Fits in well next to Television, and old Bowie and all that good, freaky stuff my mom turned me onto when I was little.
