Short, catchy songs and lots of them. A rhythm section that understands something about swing. Lyrics that are funny and memorable without trying too hard. A generous dash of dissonance to spike the pop punch. It lopes along at a comfortably quick pace. The songs are all recognizably by the same band, but the style is hard to pigeonhole - some songs shading into cow-punk, some shading gently into ska territory - but all held together by the tasty riffs and supple rhythm section.
