CHRONOS "Big Vargan live track" CHRONOS "Big Vargan live track"
I was shamefully ignorant about this instrument (I thought it was invented by hillbillies). It is in fact as ancient and spiritual as the didjeridoo and every bit as trippy.

  17. Leaving Home
    by Solar Fields
Cocoon Moon (Glastonbury Festival 2005 Mix) Cocoon Moon (Glastonbury Festival 2005 Mix)
Understated, laid back, psychill. Solar Fields is all this, but with a cerebral aura that makes their music easy to recognize when I hear a new track (that's rare when you're talking about non-vocal musical groups). Leaving Home strikes me as their most solid album so far.
  18. Solar Exhibition
    by Transponder
    Crucible Crucible
Solar Exhibition perfectly captures the mood and feel of the Tangerine Dream albums of the early '80s that first sparked my interest in non-rock genres. Tadream moved away from this style, and I am way happy that, finally, someone has come along that can pick up this particular torch. Fresh, new and yet familiar as an old friend, this album tops my collection.
  19. Prophecy
    by Transponder
    Transducer Transducer
This is another example of Transponder's ability to thoroughly explore the dream landscapes that the pioneers such as Kraftwerk abandoned all too soon. It's like going back to the lunar surface for further study with modern equipment. Not to say that Transponder is a copycat, though. They use only the style of the old masters; their content is all new and original.

Sol (Remix) - Remastered Sol (Remix) - Remastered
The most energetic, and my personal favorite, of the RGB trilogy.
