This glides comfortably into my favourite release from Phil. Aside from the resonances of the themes with this man of a certain age, it's a great set of tunes. From the description and title, I'd kinda second guessed how this was going to sound - but it deftly avoids the obvious musical tropes and manages to conjure something nostalgic for the era without getting bogged down in it. From the grime of the 70s, to the dusty fallout anxiety of the 80s it sounds fresh. Consider my hat tipped.
