  1. Raised in a Doomsday Cult
    by Good Tiger
    1252 1252
Beautiful diverse album. Every song is creatively written and produced. Definitely their best work so far, I find myself excited when each song starts!
  2. Hunt The Dinosaur "Dankosaurus" (Dino Distro)
    by LEGEND Recordings
  3. Abyssal
    by Humanity's Last Breath
    Like Flies Like Flies
I think this is pretty much as close as you can get to a black hole without becoming one with it! <3
  4. Savages
    by The Dali Thundering Concept
Probably the most interesting Djent/Progressive metal album of recent times! Mixes all sorts of styles beautifully, masterful production, fascinating concept, and top notch musicianship!
  5. Savages [Instrumental]
    by The Dali Thundering Concept
  6. BEARIES ALIVE
    by Berried Alive
    BERRY BLAST BERRY BLAST
All I can say is it's October and some couple jamming in their home seem to have made album of the year. Heavy, technical and schizophrenic with highly polished production. Vocal performance is just as good as the instrumentation. The compositions take everything metal has learned from the last 10 years and created something cohesive and fresh. A surprisingly complete album!
  7. Applause Of A Distant Crowd
    by VOLA
We Are Thin Air We Are Thin Air
This album sees VOLA investigating more melodic compositions with highly polished production, each track was it's own surprise. It's a grower, with a huge amount of hidden depth.
  8. I
    by I, Valiance
Mind Speaks Aloud Mind Speaks Aloud
All I can say is I can't wait for more, album strikes all the right notes, is poes heavy and the production is excellent.
  9. All Is As All Should Be
    by The Dear Hunter
All Is As All Should Be All Is As All Should Be
Excellent, this band can do no wrong.
  10. Making Faces
    by Soften The Glare
This is fantastic, proggy instrumental metal with a tasteful sprinkle of jazz. Been a huge fan of Ryan Martinie's style for years, and his presence is immense on this album. You could argue he's the lead, but that said, all 3 musicians are nothing short of impressive and each composition flows perfectly. Jamie King's production is just the cherry on the cake, his crystal clear sound and high dynamic approach suits the band perfectly.
  11. Cast The First Stone
    by Ion Dissonance
  12. Odyssey to the Gallows
    by Slice The Cake
  13. Odyssey to the West
    by Slice The Cake
One of the best metal albums ever made, I mean that, this one is as the huge as the Lord of the Rings, and I mean the books.
  14. The Man With No Face
    by Slice The Cake
As Written In Pnakotus As Written In Pnakotus
This is an absolutely epic album. I had to buy it as soon as I heard it, and it's been on repeat now for two days. Great production and ridiculously heavy!
  15. FRAVD - Forms Unknown
    by Fraud
  16. Inmazes
    by VOLA
    Owls Owls
This album is just proggy noms, loved the mix of groove and ambience! You should buy it right damn now!
  17. Orange Mathematics
    by Frontierer
  18. Wizards N' Shit
    by Alan Smithee
Regime on Wholesale Regime on Wholesale
It's got wizards n shizzle! Great album, chaotic and heavy, yet whimsical and catchy! Well worth a couple of dollars!
  19. The Collapse
    by Frontierer
    The Spiral The Spiral
We have a saying in South Africa, this is "poes (puss) heavy". So tastily chaotic, loved it from the moment I pressed play! This band deserves more support.
  20. Acolytes Eternal
    by A Loathing Requiem
The Mortal's Harvest The Mortal's Harvest
This is just insane technical death metal, but ever so catchy. Solid writing and production. Remarkable achievement for a one man project. I had to buy it immediately.
