  1. The Enigma Division

    1977 - Ad Infinitum 1977 - Ad Infinitum
This thing absolutely shreds, and for a debut album, it's amazingly cohesive. That should come as no surprise if you check out the earlier works of those involved with it, but still. This morning I reached the onramp for the motorway just as the main groove of "Echoes in the deep" started, and I damned well nearly went to lightspeed. People don't think the whole album be like it is, but it do. Get it.

    Houmous Houmous
I only heard of Igorrr about half a year before this dropped, and after the craziness that was "Hallelujah", I had hoped Igorrr would keep his/their "soul", even with the increased production values and facilities. And while "Savage Sinusoid" as a whole is more streamlined and a more enjoyable listen than was "Hallelujah", it is also more impressive. There can be no mistake: there is only one Igorrr in the world, and this album is proof why they deserve your money.

    Right Time Right Time
This album just sounds "right". It has massive drive, soaring melodies, beautifully understated solos and lush production. And the groove on a track like "Right time" just makes me want to get in the car, hit the highway and drive until I run out of continent. Make me more albums, ZETA!

    BMX Terminator BMX Terminator
I got my younger brother drunk and then played this record for him, starting with BMX Terminator to sort of ease him into it. He sat there, mouth agape, right up until the chorus hit and that fucking hookline sank its claws into him. "What the fuck IS this?!", he exclaimed, foot tracing the beat, and though I have been listening to the album more or less non-stop since I bought it, I still have no idea.

But man, do I love it.
  8. "GOOD"

Dan VS Egg Dan VS Egg
How the fuck do you choose a favorite track on this album? It'd be easier to choose a least-favorite track (which I guess would be "How do ghosts work" right up until the breakdown in the middle, and then I'm undecided again). The production, musicianship and demented humor is just an excellent cocktail, and I keep coming back for more. It's pure Fikkis.
