The saddest thing I have ever heard makes me feel the happiest. Go figure. Sadness rips open emotions I forgot I had and exposes them to understanding.
Good clean vocals, upbeat grooves, smart melodies. This album is a bouquet of 70's soul, jazz, urban, and original creativity. If you listen and don't get happy, seek help.

Typically I don't go for anything near this genre. However, Merk | La Familia transcends the genre and this album keeps me right in that sweet spot when I'm chilling my mind.
Perhaps one of the saddest notes on my life is that I just today discovered this band. I owe them an apology and I owe me an apology. Paid full price despite them disbanding. That's how confident I am in the makers of this amazing music.
